Book Week was fun!
We worked with our buddy class, Room 10, to create puppets. We learnt about New Zealand author, Erin Devlin. This fabulous author wrote 'As Kuku Slept', which is a story about our native Wood Pigeon, the Keruru. The story tells us about the dangers facing the Keruru, especially from the threat of possums. This beautiful native bird is now a threatened species.
We created fantastic native bird puppets and hope that you all get the message about looking after our Keruru and all our native birds.
Our puppets are cool aren't they?
Can you work out what native birds they are?
